Intro to Us!

Hey guys!

Thanks for checking out the blog. This semester we've had a great opportunity to expand our musical experience/horizons by creating a 6-8 track CD. All of the songs are original and performed by us. (For the most part. Thanks for all the help by friends/ family:)

We will be composing, arranging, editing, mixing, mastering and  performing all of the songs you will hear. We are really excited about the CD and the sound that is coming out. Our time is being divided into several sections and tasks. So far the major part of this semester has been focusing on creating the songs and arranging the pieces and creating scratch tracks.  Our next step is to bring in the drums and record live 5 piece drum kit. (Kick, Rack tom1&2, floor tom, snare)

To maximize learning and experience, we are creating several songs by using midi instruments, others by live instruments. Our biggest area of learning is coming from microphone placement and shell depth (when speaking about drums). We are also learning about multiple techniques on EQing and compressing Drums to get a true sound. (Harder than we thought:)

So far so good:)
